With funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in Hadhramaut and Shabwa governorates carried out a number of important activities as part of the project to provide livelihood services for the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen.
In the city of Mukalla in Hadhramaut, dignity kits were distributed to 100 women beneficiaries. The distributed kits contain basic supplies that meet women's daily needs, help alleviate their living burdens, and improve their quality of life, especially in light of the economic and social challenges facing many families.
A vocational training course in sewing and tailoring was also launched in Mukalla. Nine trainees participated in the 20-day course, which aims to equip beneficiaries with the skills necessary to practice this income-generating craft profession and help them launch their own businesses, achieving self-sufficiency and enhancing women's economic participation in economic recovery.
In the city of Ataq in Shabwa, an exceptional meeting was held for members of the Community Protection Network, during which visions were exchanged, challenges discussed, and more comprehensive and effective solutions were devised to protect the most vulnerable groups.
The meeting, attended by 10 female members of the network, emphasized the importance of strengthening community awareness and education efforts, empowering women and girls to preserve their dignity, and involving them in the decision-making process
